World Information Architecture Day is back in Romania! So, if you are passionate about information architecture and content strategy, WIAD 2017 welcomes you in Iasi. Book this date — February 18, 2017!
A few years ago, I was in Iasi visiting my former colleagues at Grapefruit. It was the autumn of 2011. It seemed like any other working visit … meetings, client discussion, fun and knowledge sharing. This until Marius Ursache (Founder Grapefruit & Eterni.me) told me about World Information Architecture Day (World IA Day). We then decided that we should bring the event in Romania as the kind of knowledge is really needed… and the madness started! Topics, speakers, location, sponsors, awards, PR & all that goes along with organizing such an event. We ended up with 60 IA enthusiasts attending the WIAD 2012 in Bucharest. WIAD 2013, WIAD 2014 and WIAD 2015. The last edition brought together 180 people all sharing the same interest for information architecture.World IA Day is a one-day annual celebration hosted by the Information Architecture Institute and held in dozens of locations across the globe. WIAD 2017 will happen in 58 locations, 24 countries and 5 continents. That’s much more than the 14 locations across the globe that inaugurated WIAD’s first edition back in 2012.
