Hey, I totally get it, and I’m here to help. This was the reason why I started publishing digital insights and all sorts of articles about content strategy and business cases in the first place. And recently I’ve been asked why I haven’t published anything lately. The answer to this question is simple. Priorities.
We are all aware of the fact that we have important tasks to complete. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by the long list of tasks we „must” solve. And it can become a bit scary. Well, moths ago I got to this point and while trying to find a way to get everything done I realized it is impossible. Therefore, I decided to pick my priorities and focus on what mattered the most. The priorities I have chosen were not short-term priorities.
“The future is fluid. Each act, each decision, and each development creates new possibilities and eliminates others. The future is ours to direct.”
– Jacque Fresco
As you may know, I have been challenging the corporate status quo … almost ever since I joined the digital industry. What fewer of you know is that for many years I have been also challenging the personal the status quo. To be more specific, this started with me paying far more attention to my personal well-being back in 1999. Few years latter, I went on launching a personal development and alternative therapy digital project. It started as a hobby, if I may say so. Little did I know back than that it will grow a life of its own. To make the story short, I decided to relaunch ChakanaVibes.ro and help others gain more clarity about their personal and professional life. About how this actually happened, you can read this post (available in Romanian only). Also, I prioritized doing activities and writing about other topics I really love and have nothing to do with the digital stuff I better known for.
„Achieving work-life balance is a never-ending journey, and your needs will change over time. The key is to make time for what you love and follow your passions relentlessly.” – Chris Guillebeau
Therefore, getting back to the initial question about why I stopped writing, the answer is simple. I never did. So, while continuing doing digital transformation and marketing projects, I keep embracing change with open arms.
P.S. One thing that I will definitely keep updated is the Client List 🙂 … I’m sure that the day will come when I’ll have plenty of time to write more business cases – and I’m really looking forward to it! There are some really interesting ones great for sharing, so we can talk about it over a cup of coffee.
